These have been discontinued from the factory for years. I was able to purchase an NOS piece from Germany to use as a reference.

Our new splash shield will be made with stainless grommets, stainless steel rivets and a stainless steel plate BETTER THAN the OEM piece.

I have read many online forums where people say these are not need or they have removed theirs. The factory did not waste the money to install these if they were not necessary. This splash shield keeps mud and water out of the engine compartment and most importantly off the low hung alternator. 

Note: This does NOT fit 94-97 XJ Cherokee. Those are different splash shields. I have those also.

Note: YOUR 1993 XJ MAY USE THE 94-01 VERSION OF THIS SPLASH SHIELD. I MAKE AND LIST THAT ONE ALSO. 93 WAS A TRANSITION YEAR. I DONT KNOW HOW TO TELL IF YOUR 93 XJ IS A LATE BUILD THAT USED THE 94-01 PART. I SHOW PICTURES, THE FACTORY PART NUMBER AND A LINK TO THE MOPAR WEBSITE THAT SHOWS THE YEARS/MODELS IT FITS. IF YOU DONT HAVE AN OLD PART TO COMPARE TO THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO DO THE DETECTIVE WORK.
