This insulation pad, like the factory, insulates heat transfer to the hood and well as reducing sound/noise.
This is our own, reverse engineered, created in CAD and die cut. This piece has perfectly cut edges and holes. The shape and holes are perfectly symmetrical. 

Our hood pads come rolled in a long box not folded. Folded hood pads are wrinkled and tear at the folds during storage and shipping.

Materials
Automotive spec matte faced firm black insulation that more closely matches the factory molded hood insulation pad.
(18) OE style plastic clips. 

Note: These plastic clips were used by the factory on models from 72-76 but will fit all years. I also offer this pad with metal clips that were used by the factory on all 67-71 models.
