73-77 & 78-80 HOOD PADS ARE VERY SIMILAR BUT NOT INTERCHANGEABLE. CHECK YOUR HOOD BEFORE ORDERING. THESE HOODS WERE SWAPPED OUT OVER THE YEARS. Other manufacturers INCORRECTLY sell this hood pad for all 73-80 trucks.

73-77 hoods have just 3 holes down the center of the hood. The center rib is flat. 

78-80 hoods have of 3 pairs of horizontally aligned holes down the center of the hood. The center reinforcement rib that was added in these later hoods is about 4" wide and sticks out from the bottom of the hood about an inch. ALL NEW AFTERMARKET HOODS ARE THE LATER 78-80 STYLE.

IMPORTANT!!! THE CENTER 2 HOLES AT THE FRONT OF THE HOOD AND THE CENTER 2 HOLES AT THE REAR OF THE HOOD ARE NOT USED BECAUSE THIS HOOD PAD IS NOT MOLDED LIKE THE ORIGINAL. IT'S MADE FROM FLAT MATERTIAL. DO NOT BUY IF THATS UNACCEPTABLE OR YOU DONT UNDERSTAND.

This is our own, reverse engineered, created in CAD and die cut. This piece has perfectly cut edges. The shape is perfectly symmetrical. Made from automotive spec dark gray fiberglass insulation with BLACK fiberglass scrim / matt facing insulation pad insulates heat transfer to the hood and well as reducing sound/noise. 

Also our hood pads come rolled in a box not folded. Folded hood pads are wrinkled and tear at the folds during storage and shipping.

Note: This is NOT a molded hood pad like the original. It is a nice, inexpensive functional equivalent. See attached photo of pad installed on a 78 hood.
