This is a list of the typical
gaskets I'm looking for.
Firewall gaskets
Steering column gasket
Accel pedal gasket (sometimes a grommet or grommet on end of
cable)
Brake booster or support plate to firewall (engine side)
Master cylinder to brake booster
Drivers side fresh air vent to cowl
Any brake or clutch pedal stud to firewall seals
Wiper pivot to cowl gaskets
Wiper motor to firewall seals (engine well side)
Passengers side fresh air vent to cowl seal
Any emission or water valve to firewall gaskets (engine well
side)
Any external heater box foam seals to firewall or cowl
Body gasket
Parking light lense to housing gaskets
Paking light housing to body seals (usually a rubber trim on
early cars)
Antenna to fender gasket (rubber on early models, paper on
post 65 models)
Door handle and door lock gaskets
Side marker gaskets - both lense to housing and housing to
body
Taillight gaskets - lense to housing and housing to body
Quarter panel extension gaskets - usually thin black plastic
on pre 70 models
License plate light gaskets
Reverse/backup light gaskets - lense to housing and housing
to body
Splash Shields
Also interested in the flat rubber splash shields usually
found under the front fenders.
On the engine well sides
On the frame rails
Over the suspension components
By the door hinge area
Behind the front headlight area
Firewall insulation & shoddy pad,
hood to radiator & cowl seals & trunk seals
Lastly if you are going to replace these items anyway, I'd be
interested in all firewall
insulation items and pads, hood to radiator and cowl seals &
trunk weatherstrip.
